Card Choice Explanations

Instant

Lightning Strike - 2 mana to deal 3 damage to any target, not much to say here.

Searing Blood - Very good against other fast decks, essentially combining removal with face-racing.

Shock - 1 mana to deal 2 damage to any target, not much to say here.

Wild Slash - 1 mana to deal 2 damage to any target, basically Shock but theoretically better.

Wizard's Lightning - Often Lightning Bolt in our deck due to running 12 wizards.

Creature

Ghitu Lavarunner - We are able to bring it online by turn 2 most games meaning it is almost always a Goblin Guide. It's also a wizard.

Monastery Swiftspear - Staple in the deck due to running 27 noncreature spells.

Soul-Scar Mage - Basically Monastery Swiftspear without haste but is a wizard.. Bottom text can sometimes be relevant, makes for good combat tricks.

Viashino Pyromancer - Esentially a Shock attached to a 1 mana 2/1 wizard.

Sorcery

Light Up the Stage - Usually costs to cast because this is a BURN deck.

Skewer the Critics - Is Lightning Bolt if the BURN deck damaged the opponent this turn.

Land

Mountain - The best kind of mana base! <3

Sideboard Cards

Eidolon of the Great Revel - Bring this in against decks with lots of low cmc cards that don't impact the boardstate such as cantrips or counterspells. Generally replaces Lightning Strike during sideboarding.

Kari Zev's Expertise - My meta has a mono-green stompy player and it can be very hard to race them and this should allow me to get some extra damage in without losing tempo.

Skullcrack - Lifegain is heresy so Lightning Strike your opponents while turning off their lifegain on their turn. Generally replaces Lightning Strike during sideboarding.

Smash to Smithereens - This card is Smelt combined with Lightning Bolt and generally replaces Lightning Strike during sideboarding. Completely owns Izzet Ensoul too which is nice.
