I've always loved the philosophy of fire, but unfortunately the lack of burn spells in standard has been a bummer. Thankfully, there's Riddleform to save the day, transforming every non-creature spell into a burn spell!

The Namesake Card

• Riddleform is a 2 mana reusable burn spell that can also be used defensively if need be. Very flexible, very powerful, and one of my favorite cards in the rotation without a doubt.

The Creature Package

• Bomat Courier is just a solid card for any aggro deck with red in it. It's a 1/1 body with haste which is relevant, with a huge upside if it survives till turn 4-5.
• Soul-Scar Mage benefits from a deck running a bunch of non-creature spells, and can help you bring down the opponent's life total very quickly if it isn't dealt with.
• Earthshaker Khenra helps Bomat Courier do its thing a few more turns, while getting in some chip damage. Its eternalize ability is also very effective as a mana sink later in the game.
• Glorybringer is one of the best great late-game finishers in rotation right now.

• Chandra, Torch of Defiance ... must I say more?

The Burn Package

• Shock makes me sad that lightning bolt isn't in standard, but what can you do
• Abrade is a necessary tech against GPG, Abandoned Sarcophagus, and Gearhulk
• Lightning Strike makes me even sadder that lightning bolt isn't in standard
• Hungry Flames makes me sad that searing blaze and searing blood aren't in standard
• Flame Lash makes me sad that I have to pay 4 for a Boros Charm
