This deck is actually inspired by MTGgoldfish's blue green emerge budget modern deck. Found it randomly on youtube, and it's really fun and effective. Their article of the deck also has a non-budget version that went in a different direction to mine. The basic idea of the deck is to ramp into Elder Deep-Fiend and Keep your opponent locked out of the game. The rest of the deck is focused on disruption and value. For example, Abrupt Decay and Thoughtseize are catch all disruption spells against most of the established archetypes, Thragtusk is excellent emerge fodder, Venser can be used to disrupt your opponent or recycle your Elder Deep-Fiend, then be sacrificed to that Deep-Fiend. Wretched Gryff was an addition that I was supprised by, but, it's easy to cast, draws you a card on entry and is difficult for most decks to deal with. Frost Titan is another reward for all the ramp in the deck that locks down your opponent and is a pain in the ass to deal with. The ramp is pretty easy to understand, so not sure of what else to say other than, suggestions are welcome and if you like it, have fun supprising people at your next modern event.
