You must earn your victory, and Opal Eye won't grant it to you easily. His defenses are legendary, and his associates are sly. He will offer you power and protection in order to kill your opponents, tempting you with glory... and when that glory blinds you, you will find a sharp knife pushed deep into your back.

This deck doesn't look very impressive at first glance, but the protective abilities of Opal-Eye should not be overlooked. Opal-Eye can re-direct damage from fliers, unblockable creatures, creatures with intimidate, horsemanship, shadow, not to mention hexproof and shroud because his ability does not target. This ability also allows you to protect other people from harm, so that you can get them onto your side and use them to defeat the more problematic opponents.

If you couple Opal-Eye's ability with things like Indestructibility, Hexproof, Protection, and the ability to untap (which many cards in this deck allow him to do) you are left with an incredibly powerful shield against most forms of damage coming your way.

Any suggestions for the deck are greatly appreciated! Reminder, this deck is not meant to be pillow fort. It's meant to be political chess and utilize very effective defenses. The goal is not to lock out the game.
