Rivals of Ixalan gave to vampires some very good cards. Many believe that Aspirant is the best 1 mana drop but I don't see how this can help in this meta. With all this cheap 1/3 or 2/3 on 2nd round, you cannot even pass 1 damage. (eg winding constrictor). Vicious Conquistador is much better and for flyer 1 Duskborne Skymarcher is good enough and even if you topdeck it in later game, you will have probably city blessing with radiant destiny on board and it will attack and give +1/+1 to herself or to another attacking vampire (much better on lifelink vampires). I had tested to go for one more plains without forsaken sanctuary but many times you have problem to cast some of your best vampires as it is sanctum seeker and gifted aetherborn. So even a tapped land is much better for this kind of situations. In ixalan I used to play 2 dusk//dawn but sometimes this card is very bad topdeck. Especially in control decks. So with Mastermind's Acquisition, I found a way to have a winning condition in game 1 vs approach. In 7th round probably approach player plays Approach. You have to have 7 lands as they usually play and settle the wreckage. So with 7 mana open you Mastermind's Acquisition and you bring from sb lost legacy and remove Approach. In the 2nd game your bring them in, so he has to be more careful to play Approach so he has to have negate as long you will have 3 mana open to play lost legacy. So, until the ninth round you can win with your creatures
