Hello! Welcome to Mana Mastery for the EDH format!

This is a deck based off of the Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013 deck of the same name.

The deck plays early and cheap interaction with multicolored finishers. It also looks to use green ramp to color fix. Some self imposed restrictions on this deck are that I want to keep it as multicolored as possible and as light on non-basic lands as possible. Due to the fact that its going to be impossible for this deck to function without mono green spells however, I have allowed some mono colored spells into the deck while making sure that all 5 colors get at least a single mono colored spell.

This is no longer the case and has sparked interest in adding some legends to the deck that I previously was not keen on adding.

Version 3.0

The "On Death" commander trigger change really shook me up. I will be looking to cut clone effects at some point and test what a cloneless Child of Alara deck feels like.

I have decided to make a pretty major change to this deck and allow for some more recent legends to help out on the spell slinging front. For better or worse this deck has become very instant and sorcery based and much less big stompy creature based. We will continue to to use creature beatdown as our "Plan A", but getting there will largely non-creature based.

I made a single non-creature change, Escape to the Wilds has replaced Urban Evolution. I just find that I had enough simic representation in the deck and ultimately Escape to the Wilds may have been a tough more powerful as well.

I had a good time testing Archon of Valor's Reach recently, especially when cloned several times. It along with Rubblehulk however, have been cut in favor of Elsha of the Infinite and Kess, Dissident Mage. I never liked rubblehulk, it was often chump blocked and the hand full of times I bloodrushed it on Child of Alara it felt kinda cheap.

I hope to test these two legends out and am excited for the new phase of this deck!

I originally built this deck for under $100 but some cards have shot up in price/I have put some more expensive cards in. Here is a budget version you make to keep the deck under $100. Mana Mastery Budget
