Artifact Aggro-Combo Version 3.4

Most Recently Updated: August 3rd, 2018

This is an artifact combo control deck that aims to vomit out as many artifacts as possible to control the board before finding a win condition and closing out the game. We run a fair amount of recursion and protection as being an all artifact deck leaves us quite vulnerable to commonly played cards such as Vandalblast and Cyclonic Rift, though generally with all of our fast mana we can rebuild quite fast. There's a lot of innate synergy between many of the cards in the deck, and we run a good number of tutors to get what we need at any given time. The key engine cards include Rings of Brighthearth, Voltaic Construct, Clock of Omens, Paradox, Planar Bridge, and Scrap Trawler in conjunction with Krark-Clan Ironworks. We have four main win conditions depending on what the game state is like. The default plan is to establish board control, swarming the field with lots of high cost artifacts and activating Karn, Silver Golem's ability to swing with all of our artifacts. We run two "combo" win conditions in Karn, Silver Golem + Mycosynth Lattice to blow up our opponent's lands, and Darksteel Forge + Nevinlyrral's Disk to destroy our opponent's permanents. Neither technically wins the game outright, but will generally elicit concessions from the rest of the table. Our fourth and final win condition is Marit Lage. There are enough ways to trigger Dark Depths that we can semi-reliably bring out Marit Lage within one or two turns of drawing it. It's definitely very hard to stop a turn 3 Marit Lage, which happens with some frequency in this deck. I've also been toying around with Mishra's Self-Replicator a lot, as it can definitely get out of hand in this deck, though I'm hesitant to call it a real win condition until I can jam a bunch more games with it. I will mulligan almost any hand that doesn't have some kind of fast mana, as we run around 15-20 sources, depending on whether you count lands like Scorched Ruin or Ancient Tomb. It's also pretty imperative to find some recursive method of card draw as fast as possible, as we vomit our hand out so fast that we can end up in the top deck game rather quickly. It's also important to note that we don't actually run a lot of mana producing lands. We only run 29 lands that can produce mana or reliably produce mana in the early game, so we definitely need lots of cheap early ramp.
