Kill them With Kindness

Commander / EDH RGWU

DemonDragonJ

This deck has a very different strategy than does any other deck that I have built; unlike all my other decks, this deck actively helps its opponents, with the reason for that being that the opponents will not wish to harm their source of benefit. Obviously, I have ensured that the deck shall help its controller more than it helps and other player, and I also have included cards to ensure that the others players attack each other instead of me.

By now, most users here shall have noticed that I include certain cards in every EDH deck that I build, so there is no need to mention them, here, but I have decided that other cards are now staples for the format for me, as well, including Arcane Encyclopedia, Arcane Signet, and Crystal Ball; I have not yet decided if I shall have Mind's Eye in every EDH deck, yet, so I shall need to see how it performs in this deck.

First, I have numerous cards that provide benefits to my opponents, such as Braids, Conjurer Adept, Kami of the Crescent Moon, Rites of Flourishing, Dictate of Kruphix, Well of Ideas, and so forth.

Next, I have cards that make it unprofitable to attack me, such as Baird, Steward of Argive, Windborn Muse, Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs, Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, Sphere of Safety, Norn's Annex, and Wall of Denial.

Then, there are cards that actively encourage my opponents to attack each other, rather than me, including Edric, Spymaster of Trest, Gahiji, Honored One, and Gisela, Blade of Goldnight.

Obviously, I do have counterspells and removal spells in this deck, but even those help my opponents, as well, such as Arcane Denial, Dream Fracture, Oblation, Path to Exile, and Winds of Abandon.

Mayael's Aria has no connection with this deck's theme, but I thought that it was best to have an alternate win condition in this deck, since this deck helps its opponents very strongly, and Shalai, Voice of Plenty is in the deck to help contribute to that condition.

I do hope that this deck performs well, so I shall be eager to use it.
