Mutual discard is cheaper and can help enable the deck through Madness effects such as Grave Scrabbler, From Under the Floorboards and Gisa's Bidding
Raise the Dead
Zombie tribal aspect is primary win condition, and discard can help set it up while disrupting opponent. Diregraft Ghoul, Liliana's Reaver, Risen Executioner, Unbreathing Horde all benefit from Zomb's. From Under the Floorboards and Waste Not help amass a sizable hoard.
