I really like red and want to play around with it. I will be editing it and potentially adding white for scry lands and Chained to the Rocks . Any feedback is appreciated

This deck focuses on mostly creatures with double red symbols like Flamewake Phoenix and Stormbreath Dragon to provide devotion for cards like Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx and Fanatic of Mogis.

Flamewake Phoenix is the real MVP being so damn hard to get rid of. So long as Fanatic of Mogis, Stormbreath Dragon or Purphoros, God of the Forge is a creature, this can come back and swing for only 1 red mana. The value on that is insane.

I do see this deck falling pretty hard to Anger of the Gods. But there is really no way around that, and this deck can aggro out pretty quickly. So unless they have that Anger in their opening hands they are going to be in trouble when the turn 3 or 4 Stormbreath Dragon hits the field. And then the Fanatic of Mogis comes in for 16.

My sideboard does deal a lot with the token decks and aggro. But I do have some stuff in there to help me deal with the rest of the meta as well.

Spawn of Thraxes for the control decks who like to take a long time, wait till they tap out for Ugin, the Spirit Dragon then hit them with a spawn.

Phyrexian Revoker to stop the planeswalkers I know they have, or other creatures with annoying activated abilities. Tasigur, the Golden Fang.

Burn Away hits a lot of stuff with 6 damage, plus it hoses the control decks who need lots of graveyard for Tasigur, the Golden Fang and/or Dig Through Time. The Whip of Erebos decks hate it too.

For the TL;DR version, I went 2-2, UB Control is annoying.

Round 1: Game 1: Played against a GU Flash deck. It was interesting. First game he beat me with a turn 4 Prophet of Kruphix that he put outside my Lightning Strike's range right after he flashed a Boon Satyr on it. I was forced to chump and lost all my devotion.

Game 2: Side: 2x Fated Conflagration and 2x Burn Away for 1x Lightning Strike and 3x Eidolon of the Great Revel.

Turn 4 had 2 Flamewake Phoenix on the field and beat him down in range of a Fanatic of Mogis kill.

Game 3: Took out Prophet of Kruphix with Fated Conflagration and then he flashed Surrak Dragonclaw at the end of his turn and I lost.

Round 2: BYE 1-1

Round 3: UB Control 1-2

Game 1: Flamewake Phoenix did work once again and a late game Stormbreath Dragon to get back both my Flamewake Phoenix for the win was a good feeling.

Game 2: Beat him down to 6 and tried to take him out with a Fanatic of Mogis for 6. He Hero's Downfall'd my Fanatic and the Bile Blight my Phoenix to shut his trigger down and then I lost to Tasigur, the Golden Fang.

Game 3: Flamewake Phoenix got him down pretty fast as well as an Ashcloud Phoenix, however a -4 from an Ugin, the Spirit Dragon took all those out, with a Tasigur, the Golden Fang beat me down from 20 after that.

Round 4: Sultai Whip

Game 1: Eidolon of the Great Revel and 2 Flamewake Phoenix and a Chandra, Pyromaster into a Fanatic of Mogis was a really fast kill.

Game 2: I GOT IT OFF AND IT WAS BEAUTIFUL. I had Chandra, Pyromaster and Fanatic of Mogis and Ashcloud Phoenix on the board and I Twinflame both the Ashcloud Phoenix and Fanatic of Mogis for the kill. Beautiful and very fun.

Overall 2-2. I am not sure about Archetype of Aggression. I may put Purphoros, God of the Forge back in. Or perhaps Flamerush Rider.
