This is the first commander deck that I put time and effort into making and it quickly became the best deck in our playgroup so I am dismantling it to try and make other decks. The cards that I bought were Omnath and all of the cards that increase the amount of mana a land or permanent taps for. Other than that I tried to play it as budget as I could by trading for cards or getting lucky in packs. The point is to just get stupid amounts of mana and try to either max out mana to need a calculator to keep track of it or draw out your library and play it out every time you can.
