I initially had an idea for this deck a long time ago. The purpose was to fully utilize your life as a resource to abuse different effects. For example I thought, " Death's Shadow isn't played in EDH ever because you would never get any real benefit out of it." So then I took it one step further, I thought, What if I could hover my life total as low as possible without losing and take advantage of the Fateful Hour effects. Soon I discovered there were cards that prevented you from losing the game for having 0 life, most notably Phyrexian Unlife . So years past and Amonkeht and Ixalan come out with cards that completed the missing puzzle pieces I assembled years ago. So behold, A deck that's goal is to make it where you cant lose the game for having 0 life, and having fun with it as well.

The deck focuses around 3 main ways to stay alive after death. •The First one is the well known Phyrexian Unlife + Solemnity combo. It's pretty simple to see why this combo works. If damage is only dealt in infect counters and you can't get infect counter's, you can't lose. •The Second is not one I like to count, but is just as good none the less. It's Indestructibility + Platinum Angel . Your you cant lose the game creature can't die, simple enough. •The third is my favorite way and the most easy to come across. Its the combo of Transcendence and any card that says you can't gain life, such as Havoc Festival or Everlasting Torment .

We are playing Mardu which isn't known for it's excessive card draw, but that's one of the reasons we play Queen Marchesa (Long may she Riegn), since she makes you the monarch. But even better than drawing is tutors, and we have a full line up of as many good tutors as I could find. Vampiric Tutor , Demonic Tutor , and Enlightened Tutor , anything to get your hands on your win conditions.

Once you have successfully found your pieces of immortality, you will want to protect it. We have a few cards in here that help with that, The best one being Greater Auramancy in addition you can put Indestructibility on any key component if you draw it.

Fail safes are there since there is no guarantees that will get your combos up before the opponent kills you, so you have a couple Fail Safes to extend the game. The first is Lich's Mirror which gives you a mini do over. A lot of times it's a hard uphill battle if this is your last hope, but it is still possible to win. Another fail safe is Lich's Tomb , Soul Echo , or any Lich card.

Once all the pieces are assembled, just have fun with the many win conditions with paying life. Cards like Minion of the Wastes or Phyrexian Processor your remaining life into. Or if you have an unblocked creature you can cast Hatred and pay life equal to your opponents life total. And since you are usually at 0 or less life, you may want to cast cards like Axis of Mortality or Magus of the Mirror that swaps your life total with an opponents.

Have fun with the deck and don't be scared to lose life. This deck is not to be competitive since its so much chance, but nothing beats beating someone with 0. Suggestions are always welcome, and I hope you enjoy!!
