Sorcery (3)

Creature (3)

Alright guys, welcome to yet another combo. I'm going to ask a huge favor-- I feel like this can become a powerful, consistent deck, but it will take a lot of effort. Any suggestions that may make this deck more competitive will be considered heavily. My main concern is raising the deck's interactivity without interfering with consistency. Please mention which cards should come out when you suggest cards to add. I want to find room for Electrolyze and Remand, but I really don't know what to cut. Metagame calls are also welcome.

The Combo

For those of you familiar with Cloudstone Curio, yes, groan. For those who aren't, read ahead. The combo here is:

2x Burning-Tree Emissary/ Priest of Urabrask + Cloudstone Curio + Altar of the Brood/Grapeshot. You infinitely bounce your Emissaries/Priests (or a combination of the two) to trigger Alter or build up infinite storm count, then proceed to win.

Cloudstone Curio

Cloudstone Cuio really does deserve a section to itself. It is the lynchpin of the entire deck. It's also the only combo piece that doesn't have redundant copies. However, it' still useful without the combo. Just being able to use Burning-Tree Emissary and Elvish Visionary as a card-draw engine is awesome.

While we cant run redundant copies of this curious artifact, there is Reshape . Fortunately, there are a number of artifacts available for sacrifice.

For Consistency's Sake

Elvish Visionary exists to thin out the deck, allowing you to dig and enable Curio shenanigans. Coiling Oracle serves much the same purpose, with the possibility of ramp.

[[Chord of Calling allows you to combo off with just one mana creature and the Curio. It adds a huge amount of consistency. Burning-Tree Emissary + Chord of Calling turns a no-threat board state with a Curio into an instant win. Less consistent than Chord, but of similar power and purpose, is Collected Company. CoCo also grants you the option of drawing cards and/or hitting combo pieces on your opponent's end step.

For the Love of Mana

The other cards are mostly ramp artifacts to pull off the combo within Modern's four-turn clock. Burning-Tree Emissary + Springleaf Drum = Desperate Ritual with upside, and Pentad Prism + Reshape is fun too. Aether Vial with any of your mana creatures is downright dangerous-- free mana! Also works nicely with Cloudstone Curio + Elvish Visionary .

Feedback Appreciated

Thank you for putting up with my insanity! I'm very excited with this deck, but as I said earlier, I'm going to be relying heavily on the ingenuity and experience of the community to make it the best it can be. Happy deckbuilding!
