Friggin Awesome!

Any love for Ludevic's Test Subject  Flip in this deck? It's an 0/3 defender and with all the available mana in this deck, it would be a 13/13 trample quickly. Especially if you can't afford the Emrakul

Thanks for the suggestion Boysterload. Its been in previous builds but it sadly doesn't do anything for me that Assault Formation doesn't already do for me better.

Just wondering: Why no Blue Sun's Zenith? It gets around damage prevention just like Banefire. It's also tutorable with Drift of Phantasms, unlike Banefire. If you don't have infinite mana, you can just use it on yourself to draw gas.

Hey celestite4...its the inability to be countered that I'm looking for with running Banefire over Blue Sun's Zenith. I already have a tutorable wincon in Staff of Domination

Oh, yeah. That makes sense.

Maybe Colossus of Akros? It stays as a defender even after you send it monstrous and its really hard to deal with a 20/20 indestructible trample lol

I made a deck similar to this let me know what you think Bet you didn't see that coming! (manabase needed)

Thanks for the suggestion Hawkinn2

Generally if I have 6 mana, I want to be casting a Prime Time so I can get Kessig Wolf Run and swinging for 13 trample next turn.

Already run Emrakul as my ultimate mana dump fatty that can't be dealt with and has the added advantage of giving all of my creatures haste. This is hugely relevant when using Staff of Domination with infinite mana to throw down all my creatures and then swing with infinite power and toughness.

Cool :) great deck :)

SteelNinja says... #15

Assault Formation and Kessig Wolf Run have a terrible anti-synergy. Is there perhaps a better utility land out there?

Also I feel like Collected Company is missing here.

June 13, 2015 7:21 p.m.

UrbanAnathema says... #16

They actually don't SteelNinja. Kessig is fetchable by the Titans and and is meant to be a mana dump for the infinite mana combo. If you have both out, you simply use both, one for the pump and one for the trample. Also Collected Company ends up being a poor fit here because I my combo piece is an aura and I don't want to send it to thee bottom of my deck...my tutors are creatures and I want them in my hand not in play or at the bottom of my deck.

Have you considered Devil's Play vs Banefire? I really like the fashback on Devil's Play but but uncounterable is wonderful on Banefire

June 14, 2015 6:54 p.m.

UrbanAnathema says... #18

I actually hadn't Hawkinn2. While Flashback is awesome, the purpose of Banefire in the deck is for a manadump wincon with infinite mana. We really only want to see it when we want to win the game, or as in a pinch removal of a planeswalker or troublesome creature. In both of these cases in uncounterable ability seems more valuable. Thanks for the suggestion though!

No worries I particularly like Devil's Play when playing group games for its multiuse

If one would like to make a similar but cheaper deck like yours, what would you recommend? Boysterload suggested Ludevic's Test Subject  Flip, could that replace, for example, Primeval Titans without destroying the deck concept? I'm asking because it looks fun as hell, but not wallet-friendly.Great deck by the way

To be honest, the Prime Times are going to be what you want, because they both work as a backup ramp beatdown plan, as well as a wincon with the combo. That said, most of the expense of the deck is the Foil Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, Pact of Negation, Bloom Tender and the mana base.

For a more budget build:

You can definitely make a more budget manabase. Shocks and fetches can be replaced with cheaper duals.

Consecrated Sphinx is a sort of split of the difference between running a fourth Drift of Phantasms and a fourth Prime Time. You can go the budget route and run the full playset of Drift, and only go with the two or three Titans.

You can run Spell Pierce over Pact of Negation

Lose Bloom Tender and run the full playsets of Axebane Guardian and Assault Formation

It won't be as competitive, but you'll definitely have the fun of the deck and the same basic engine.

I would also likely run Colossus of Akros over Ludevic's Test Subject  Flip in a budget build as a replacement for the Trans-dimensional Spaghetti Monster.
