The greatest thing about this deck is that it is formidable even when the Freed from the Reals are removed. I was playing mill against you, and I played Surgical Extraction on your Freed from the Real, but I couldn't win because of emrakul. I did win in the end though, luckily, because I pulled off the infinite combo Duskmantle Guildmage + Mindcrank. What I really am trying to say though, is good job!

Thanks Minelia5. It was very important for me to construct the deck in such a way that it wasn't reliant on the combo to win. It's fantastically versatile.

Now that it's 4 color, you might want to change the hubs and description :)

FAMOUSWATERMELON Actually since I still keep Surgical Extraction in my sideboard it still qualifies!

Awesome deck! Going to be using it for testing against mine. Have you considered Crab Umbra as an alternative way to go infinite? Provides an alternative slightly worse than Freed from the Real, but better than Staff of Domination (as a combo piece, not as a win-con obviously). The Totem armor can also be nice as well.

If you're considering the aforementioned Crab Umbra at all, I would direct your attention to Galvanic Alchemist, who is transmutable for 3.

Thanks guys. I have considered Crab Umbra and Galvanic Alchemist in the past. I've ran Staff of Domination over it because it fills the niche of a wincon as well as an alternate combo enabler. additionally it allows for a turtling strategy in the early goings when I still don't have the combo.

I don't think we were suggesting running either option over Staff of Domination, but in addition to it (as extra Freed from the Real), to make the combo more consistent. But I'm sure the balance of the deck is complicated to keep your opponent at bay.

It definitely is. At that point you either are sacrificing opponent interaction or the alternative means that supplement the overall strategy of the deck like Primeval Titan or Consecrated Sphinx. I think it's actually better off with the robust alternative creature based threats that have synergy with the overall strategy of generating massive amounts of mana and converting it to damage as quickly as possible, than adding another means of enabling the inferior version of the combo.

Now if only Pemmin's Aura were Modern legal... Then I would most certainly need to find room. :)

how do you put the other decks on the side?

I feel as though Bloom tender isn't incredibly useful here. The most bloom tender can give you is one mana of every color but you only have a possible 3 colors among permanents. I made an altered deck based off this one but replaced bloom tender with Sylvan Caryatid. It gives you one mana of any color and triggers as a defender. I also threw Perimeter Captain in the main board to replace Wall of Omens then added Bile Blight in the sideboard to go against Lingering Souls or Spectral Procession

Ra1nStorm thanks for the feedback.

Bloom Tender provides me another infinite mana combo target for Freed from the Real.

Perimeter Captain is fine in the side against heavy aggro strategies, but Wall of Omens provides me card draw to dig for the combo pieces to add to my tutor for combo pieces and wincons in Drift of Phantasms

At this deck's core, its is a combo deck. However it has such synergy that it easily can overpower w/o the combo. Given that the vast majority of the deck is , and I have colored mana coming from so many other potential sources, I have zero problem getting my other colors. The deck consistently wins by T4, and Bloom Tender allows for T3 wins.

Have you seen the new card Assault Formation? I think it would go very well in here as an alternate win condition.

I say that Rest in Peace is better for anti-graveyard, as it also immediately exiles everything in their graveyard.

Assault Formation has definite possibilities, and I am hugely excited for it!

Also, come Dragons of Tarkir, have you looked at Collected Company? I'm not sure what you could take out, but it seems as though it could be useful.

SpatulonMk3 I have. But yeah at 4CMC...its a smidge expensive even if it is a fantastic dig card, and finding room for it is indeed the trouble.
