Do you like goofy decks that can still interact when tapped out? Do you like living on the edge and winning most of your games by a razor-thin margin by flashing in Nimble Obstructionist EoT? I've got the deck for you.

STRUCTURE The only reason to ever go mono U, other than budget, is to play Disrupting Shoal . This incentivizes us to play a suite of various mana costs; 1s and 2s come naturally, but 3s and 4s are a little trickier. Nimble Obstructionist is a natural fit, and you'll cast it as much as you'll cycle it. Opponents NEVER expect Psionic Blast , which is our only true blue removal. Previous iterations had Snapback , but it's terrible. Don't play it.

Our mainboard fours are Hieroglyphic Illumination , which is good both early (as a cycler) and also late.

In general, if your opener doesn't have a one drop, or a Mutavault / Nimble Obstructionist plus lands and cantrips, you'll want to mull. Luckily, our draws are smoothed considerably by the cantrips and low natural curve.

Suggestions welcome; looking for other "can be cast from exile" blue cards for Shoal. Also wouldn't mind jamming some sort of 5-drop if there's something that has its own alternate cost or otherwise fits in.

Cheers!
