A friend of mine decided that he wanted to build a frontier deck, so I constructed this little guy. Humans have been gaining a lot of fuel lately, and I really like some of the new interactions. The two cards that inspired me to throw this deck together are Collected Company and Renegade Rallier. The latter works extremely well with fetches; he can either recur them to ramp or bring back an important creature like Thalia's Lieutenant. Many of the creatures drop for two so that Rallier can bring them back. That is also why Oath of Ajani is in the deck instead of Always Watching ; if I can get one oath into the grave, I can bring it back with the Rallier and give another anthem to my creatures. The most important one to buff is the Lambholt Pacifist   , which can satisfy its own attacking condition if you put a +1/+1 counter onto it. That also justifies Metallic Mimic; if I can throw it onto the field before playing the pacifist, it can grow very difficult for your opponent do decide what creature to remove. For the late game, I use clues from Thraben Inspector and Tireless Tracker to keep fueling the hand. Tamiyo, Field Researcher serves the same purpose in addition to tapping down troublesome creatures or blockers. I am currently comfortable with the mana base; adding Fortified Village feels clunky, especially as a top-deck. The fetches can do some work to grab Prairie Stream and Canopy Vista, and the only card with two mana symbols of the same color is Knight of the White Orchid.
