This deck is meant to be a more simple, enjoyable deck that revolves around Liliana Vess, the necromancer planeswalker from Dominaria. There are definitely ways to optimize this deck and make it more powerful, but this is meant to be a more casual, fun Liliana-flavored deck rather than a hyper-competitive one, so I made a few tradeoffs for the sake of Liliana and her personal favorites.

It's not a super fancy deck, nor is it meant to be very combo-heavy, just have fun raising the dead (be they your own or opponents' creatures), creating even more dead, and overwhelming your foes with Liliana's army of undead.

The deck doesn't have a ton of combos, a lot of them revolve around Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth . Cabal Coffers + Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth is the typical Urborg combo people expect, make a ton of black mana. Crypt Ghast + Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth is another less-common combo, it allows each of your lands to tap for an extra black mana. Mutilate + Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth is a way to make Mutilate far more effective, as every land you control will count toward it. Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth + Zombie Master is a way to threaten opponents, everyone will have swamps and your zombies will have swampwalk.

One interesting combo comes with Gravecrawler + Phyrexian Altar in which you can infinitely sacrifice and recast the Gravecrawler so long as you control another zombie; the deck doesn't have a Blood Artist or a Bontu's Monument simply because an infinite combo like that doesn't fit the deck's theme (and you could very well deck yourself if you have a Vanquisher's Banner in play, since the deck can't run a Laboratory Maniac ), but it has a few very possible synergies:

Door of Destinies to rapidly increase the buffs on your army of the dead, Vanquisher's Banner to draw as many cards as you feel like drawing, Diregraf Colossus to get a free (tapped) Zombie token with each cast, Mikaeus, the Unhallowed to generate infinite additional mana by sacrificing it a second time after it returns from Undying, Liliana, Dreadhorde General as another card draw method, and as a way to charge Liliana's Standard Bearer to draw a lot of cards at once.

Naturally, Liliana herself is a prominent part of this deck, and as such every planeswalker representation of her is present as well as The Chain Veil to grant her even greater strength. My end goal (a long ways away, for certain) is to get foils of every Liliana-themed card in the deck (barring Demonic Tutor , which has no appropriate foils).
