Mairsil, the Pretender Commander decklist.

Looking to use Mairsil to utilize good draw, removal, and value abilities and eventually either win with commander damage or combo off.

Currently thinking about losing the Training Grounds and Heartstone. There aren't enough abilities that benefit from Training Grounds or Heartstone in the deck (most already cost 1 mana or less).

Quicksilver Elemental can get around Mairsil's limitation of only being able to use the activated abilities once a turn, letting us combo off alot easier (e.g. having Gilded Lotus and Pili-Pala exiled would allow us to generate infinite mana). Or we can use bounce/flicker effects to reset her activated abilities for each iteration, but this requires a haste enabler to be out (e.g. Thousand-Year Elixir, or Anger in the graveyard, etc).

Some of the combo's in the deck are hard to pull off, especially without Illusionist's Bracers or Quicksilver Elemental, as they usually require 6-8 cards to be exiled with Mairsil.You usually need 3 mana artifacts exiled, with 3 untap abilities and a bounce ability exiled, as well as a haste enabler on the battlefield. This should generate infinite mana, which you can then use to hopefully draw your deck, or do infinite damage with Hateflayer activations.

Example:- Khalni Gem, Gilded Lotus, Basalt Monolith, Morphling, Pili-Pala, Cinderhaze Wretch and Erratic Portal exiled with Mairsil, the Pretender and a haste enabler out gives infinite mana and Mairsil ETB's

Other combos include:

• Sage of Hours and Anthroplasm exiled with Mairsil, the Pretender, and 5 lands/mana for infinite turns

• Sneak Attack with Gilded Lotus and Erratic Portal exiled to Mairsil gives infinite mana and Mairsil ETB triggers.
