Maybeboard

Around three-fourths of the cards in this deck are from one of the nine Ravnican expansions or from the Dimir Guild Kit, or else are very obviously from Ravnica despite being printed in another set, like Talent of the Telepath or Jace's Archivist. I still tried to restrict the remaining quarter, nearly half of which are nonbasic lands, to cards that fit the theme of Dimir. Obviously, this deck will not be the most competitive, but it is my hope that it will have a decent amount of synergy and, most importantly, be reasonably balanced against other casual decks. I also left around a hundred cards that were cut from the final build in the Maybeboard section, so there's a lot of options if anyone wants to make the deck more competitive or remove all of the non-Ravnican cards.

If anyone's curious, this deck was made to comply with the deck-building constraints that my friends and I created, at least as of October 2021. To elaborate, a deck consists of 100 cards (including your commander) worth $1 or less, except 1 card can be worth up to $100, 5 additional cards can be worth up to $20, and as many as 20 other cards can be worth up to $5. In addition, a player can upgrade an extra card to $5/$20 for every 2 lands in that category. Use the TCGplayer market price for a card's cheapest variant when evaluating prices, except Sol Ring is considered to be worth $100.

Win Conditions:: This deck has no alternate win conditions, and you will usually need to eliminate each of your opponents. Fortunately, you have a few ways to accomplish that with this deck. In addition to reducing an opponent's life total to zero, you can also discard or exile every card in an opponent's library and wait for him to draw a card. While there aren't a large quantity of "mill" cards in the deck, many of them do have recurring effects, like Consuming Aberration and Psychic Corrosion. You can also cause an opponent to lose the game via the effect of Etrata, the Silencer. Granted, this will almost never happen due to Etrata being shuffled into your library each time she assassinates a creature, but never forget that it's an option. In a pinch, you can retrieve Etrata, the Silencer from your library by transmuting either Clutch of the Undercity or Dimir House Guard.

Infinite Combo: First, play both Duskmantle Guildmage and Mindcrank. Next, activate the Guildmage's first ability. Finally, discard a card from each of your opponents' libraries and/or deal them any amount of damage in order to simultaneously eliminate their libraries and their life points. Note that you can transmute Dimir Infiltrator, Muddle the Mixture, and Shred Memory into either Duskmantle Guildmage or Mindcrank.

Other EDH Guild Decks: The Gruul Clans, The Izzet League, The Simic Combine, The Orzhov Syndicate, The Boros Legion, The Golgari Swarm, The Selesnya Conclave, The Azorius Senate
