A deck I built to fully capitalize on the ability of Braids, Conjurer Adept. The basic idea is to get Braids out ASAP, while keeping mana open to counter opponent's non-creatures, and use Mind Control and Clone style effects on any creature threats they drop. Paradox Haze is one good way to get more of an edge out of Braids' ability than your opponents, as well as fatties like Stormtide Leviathan and Void Winnower to keep away otherwise unmanageable threats your opponents may drop. Planar Bridge is an excellent lategame mana sink, allowing tutoring of any permanent straight to the battlefield depending on the current threat, IE Steel Hellkite against a token deck (Swing, pay 0, all tokens die), Arcanis the Omnipotent or Sphinx of Magosi if you just need heavier draw, or even something as simple as Dissipation Field to discourage attackers. Definitely weak to any non-creature strategies currently. The counters included can mitigate this somewhat, but it's still a rather large blind spot. The deck's ramp is a little awkward at times, considering the focus on getting Braids out quickly. While T1 Island, Sol Ring, T2 Island, Braids is a frequent occurrence, some of our ramp pieces won't help getting Braids out, such as Darksteel Ingot and Worn Powerstone. These will help with our control magic and counterspells, but aren't conducive to a quick start. Finally, Muddle the Mixture is a fine counterspell for this deck's purposes, but also tutors for Swiftfoot Boots or Lightning Greaves to protect our commander, as the deck centers around Braids almost entirely, and is dead in the water without her.
