Smothering Tithe is a nice bit of ramp considering you want to be able to cast your opponents spells.

Mj3913 yes Smothering Tithe would do amazing. With Revel in Riches it would win games. My question is, should I add this "combo", even without it being exactly Sen Triplets related.

Hi lifemtg!

I was looking at your deck since I also have a Sen Triplets deck in the works, and I thought up some potentially helpful information. For instance, a nice budget way to fix all your mana to cast your opponent's spells would be Chromatic Lantern . It taps for any colour of mana as well. Down that route, I would also suggest Mycosynth Lattice , as there are some fun shenanigans that you can do once everything is an artifact. However, it has been shooting up in price recently, so if you don't already have one it might be too expensive.

For your land base, I recommend removing lands that come in tapped unless they are the ones that gives you any colour of mana. (Since you're on a budget, I understand why you put those in, but in my opinion, basic lands would just be better, unless you want to replace them with shocklands or checklands, etc.) I also recommend adding Cascading Cataracts as a way to fix mana on a budget. Adding lands that tap for any colour is a big thing in your deck, and I can see you've already been trying to do that. A few more options, depending on your budget, are Gemstone Mine , City of Brass , Mana Confluence , Spire of Industry , and Forbidden Orchard . You could also add in Reflecting Pool , because although it doesn't always tap for any colour, it's a great land. Another couple of easy includes are the three esper artifact lands: Ancient Den , Seat of the Synod , and Vault of Whispers . This is important especially with your artifact subtheme. You also might want to reduce black land mana and replace that with blue. Finally, your avaerage CMC is very high, at around 4 CMC. I recommend trying to lower your curve by cutting some high CMC cards that don't enhance your strategy. Some recommendations for cuts could ve Oloro, Ageless Ascetic , and Colossus of Akros .

Anyway, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask!

Hi Jayd0nlink thx for the suggestions. I think I am going to try to get lands under 1 dollar. I think I am going to add Seat of the Synod . Cascading Cataracts is a nice choice I am going to add. Since this deck is trying to get other peoples cards, I need the opponent to have cards I want. I want to take out Oloro, Ageless Ascetic , also Colossus of Akros . I know Blightsteel Colossus is an amazing add, but its not really a necessary card. Wurmcoil Engine is also usually a automatic add in most EDH decks but, ehhh, I think its going in my Daretti deck. Coastal Breach technically is not necessary. I would rather use target removal, or bounce.

Cards going in------------------------------------------------------------------------

- Unsummon - Alley Evasion - Into the Roil - Disperse - Dictate of Kruphix - Vision Skeins - Seer's Vision - Cascading Cataracts

Cards going out----------------------------------------------------------------------- - Blightsteel Colossus - Oloro, Ageless Ascetic - Colossus of Akros - Wurmcoil Engine - Coastal Breach - Inkwell Leviathan - Scoured Barrens - Persuasion

Maybe going in------------------------------------------------------------------------ - Unwinding Clock - Chromatic Lantern - Smothering Tithe - Helm of the Host

THX for all the suggestions. IF you could tell me how its looking, that would be great. Again, just in case, this deck utilizes other peoples cards, and hands, bouncing stuff they already casted. Letting them draw cards for our use. Helm of the Host can do wonky stuff with our commander, letting us control other peoples hands, more than one.

Peace!!

hey lifemtg - Trips are looking good. A few thoughts before tomorrow...

High level: you're honing in on some good strategies, I think if you tighten them up you'll have a really fun deck. Karn's Temporal Sundering is intriguing - hitting multiple players is powerful. Maybe add more extra turns? Or, cards that support this general strategy like Paradox Haze and Mindslaver .

I also like where you're headed with blink / ETB (adding Alley Evasion). You've got Sphinx Summoner, Sharuum, Treasure Mage, etc... I'd consider adding more blink.

Building up other players' hands is risky, but that's what Trips want right? Have you considered adding wheels like Windfall ? (also, suggest replacing one-time Vision Skeins with recurring Temple Bell or similar.)

Last, here are my recommendations for cuts:

Trinket Mage fetches Sol Ring and nothing else

Finale of Glory , meh. Play someone else's!

Perplex is counterproductive.

My Trips deck isn't trying to do what yours does (and it's not budget) but feel free to skim and see if there's anything of interest in there.

DerektheRed THx for feedback. I kind of want to keep Perplex the transmute can look for Celestial Dawn . I think I am going to add Paradox Haze taking out Vision Skeins . BTW I like your Stax/ Control sen deck. I was going that route, but ti was more expensive and kinda the same thing every game. THx for feedback

Sen Trips is never the same every game because you don't know what other people are going to bring! ;) But I absolutely take your point. And it was not cheap - I've been building that deck over a period of years.

Post up how the deck did at FNM.

I’d advise cutting a few of your low-impact instants, stuff like Disperse and Alley Evasion, and add in a bit more draw. Finale of Revelation and Pull from Tomorrow aren’t that expensive but are good with all your artifact ramp. Peek and its variants might be nice to decide who to choose with Sen Triplets. Sweet deck!

ThoAlmighty THx for the suggetions. I already have Pull from Tomorrow . Peek isnt really necessary. Finale of Revelation is a greaat considerable choice, I am wondering what I should take out.

Hey, saw your forum topic asking for help.

With Esper you have access to four of the best repeatable sources of card draw in Commander:

Although, I'm not a fan of Arena, but many players do like it. Zur the Enchanter is good to help to tutor for these enchantments. Zur can could also tutor for Paradox Haze . Baleful Strix is an artifact and it's draw that can be recurred, reanimated, blinked or bounced. Thief of Sanity is good in multiplayer Commander and it fits with the theme of casting your opponents cards. Consecrated Sphinx can draw you a lot of cards in multiplayer Commander. Blue gives you many powerful staple draw spells:

I'm not sure why everything is marked as foil, TBH, since a few of those (such as Path of Ancestry / Grim Tutor ) don't exist in foil?

Apologies if I sound blunt -- this deck seems like it lacks focus. Your curve is very, very high, you've got a lot of expensive cards such as Mana Crypt but lacking cheaper staples such as City of Brass / Mana Confluence , you're running terrible cards such as Murder / Grim Tutor but lacking FAR better options such as Anguished Unmaking / Vampiric Tutor , etc. I can help more if you can give a detailed explanation of what this deck is intended to be/do, but it just seems like a pile of cards stuck together as-is...

(Also, you've got an extra Chromatic Lantern , just fyi.)

Daedalus19876 I actually was just bored and made a full foil random deck. Lol
