Sideboard

We do not fight.

This deck is an extremely slow and controlling pillow fort designed to stabilise early and then prevent opponents from building up a superior board presence before winning the long game. I'd like to try and make it as competitive as possible so please comment/upvote if you have a suggestion or just like the idea.

Core:

Path to Exile: Probably the best removal in Modern. The drawback is largely mitigated here as we don't care about opponents outramping us beyond the early game.

Blind Obedience, Ghostly Prison, [Journey to Nowhere]]: All slow attacking creatures enabling us to stabilise and win quicker.

Ethersworn Canonist: Most of the time we only cast one spell per turn, so she is largely without drawback, and hurts fast decks much more than us.

Silence: Often a free turn for Luminarch Ascension.

Sphere of Safety: I'm considering making this more of a sideboard choice for decks that can afford to pay the cost for Ghostly Prison e.g. Tron, but for now it helps us avoid damage mid to lategame.

Warden of the Beyond: 4/4 Vigilance for 3 cmc? Yes please!

Win Conditions:

Myth Realized: Get one out early and it will be massive by the midgame here. we can also pour extra mana into it to make a huge creature and swing for the win.

Sigil of the Empty Throne: Once cast we can swarm the board with evasive 4/4s in short order.

Luminarch Ascension: Interacts well with the rest of the deck and gives us another mana outlet once active.

Sideboard:

I will write about this in more detail later on, but it is primarily dedicated to stopping fast aggro that can kill us before we stabilise such as RDW and Affinity.

Thanks for taking the time to read, please suggest/comment/upvote!
