Jenara, Asura of Bant GoodStuff

Tiny Leaders GWU (Bant)

JoshRigone

This is probably my most successful attempt at creating a Tiny Leaders deck. I wanted something that would be both interesting to play with and against. This deck is really just aiming to play good-ol-fashioned "fair" magic - landing troublesome creatures and backing them up with card advantage.

Since Jenara, Asura of War is the commander, i felt it appropriate to include a small "counters matter" theme. Both Gavony Township and Mikaeus, the Lunarch provide a source of pumping up the entire team. The all star is Zameck Guildmage - he either lets you pump up your incoming creatures or utilize all of your built up counters to draw cards. Having both Jenara, Asura of War + Zameck Guildmage allows for the deck to pull ahead from parity most of the time. Guildmage can also re-purpose the counters from Scavenging Ooze or Strangleroot Geist to generate card advantage, not to mention endlessly rebuying your Strangleroot Geist's undying trigger.

Since Jenara is a three-drop, I've included a suite of one-drop dorks to facilitate a turn two Jenara: Avacyn's Pilgrim, Elvish Mystic and Birds of Paradise. Since i knew i'd be devoting a portion of the deck to mana-ramp creatures as well as playing for the long game anyway, i decided to include a suite of late-game cards that are maximized by this extra mana. Cyclonic Rift, Curse of the Swine, Wargate and Sphinx's Revelation are all great topdecks late in the game, and a large enough Swine or Rev will probably just seal up the game. Mikaeus, the Lunarch gets rather crazy late in the game as well. Omnath, Locus of Mana goes a long way towards powering out all of these expensive spells.

I'll be the first to admit that both Kitchen Finks and Noble Hierarch should definitely be in this deck. In particular, you can activate Zameck Guildmage's first ability when Kitchen Finks is in the graveyard and the Persist trigger is on the stack - allowing you to reset Finks every turn. But alas, all of my copies of Hierarch and Finks are tied up in my modern deck: Goyf-less Outcasts.
