Welcome to my Experiment Kraj Commander Deck! I chose to use Kraj because his ability is very adaptable. He himself is able to place counters to enable his own ability making him very fun in multiplayer match ups.

Playstyle

Simic is by far my favorite deck. Since we have Green and Blue we can ramp up into big creatures or do some crazy stuff with Kraj. There are a few inadvertent infinite combos in here because of the nature of the triggers but the deck doesn't need those to win! You will mainly be focusing on utilizing +1/+1 counters alongside different activated abilities on the board.

I'll go over a few sections of the deck below.

Commander

First lets talk about our commander.

Experiment Kraj has two abilities:

Ability 1:Experiment Kraj has all activated abilities of each other creature with a +1/+1 counter on it. Activated abilities are almost always identified by a cost and an effect separated with a colon (:). Eg: cost:effect This ability is subject to the following name replacement oracle text:

The granted abilities effectively use "this permanent," rather than "that card's name" so you treat the abilities as if they were printed on Experiment Kraj. For example, you treat an ability that says "Sacrifice a creature: Nantuko Husk gets +2/+2 until end of turn" as "Sacrifice a creature: Experiment Kraj gets +2/+2 until end of turn."

We sill have pay the correct colors for this ability.

Ability 2:_: Put a +1/+1 counter on target creature.

This ability is a built in enabler for Kraj. It allows us to get ability's from other creatures with himself.

Lands

I'll briefly go over the various lands I have in the deck

• Breeding Pool - The Simic shock land. Paying 2 life for intimidate access to or is a good trade. Since we have 40 life in EDH we can take the hit.
• Command Tower - No downside or
• Llanowar Reborn - This is great land due to its graft ability. We can place a +1/+1 counter on any creature that enters the battlefield after it. We can also use Vorel of the Hull Clade or Gilder Bairn to double the counters on it. Or use Experiment Kraj himself, but more on that later.
• Lumbering Falls - Cheap or land. I rarely use the activate though.
• Mosswort Bridge - We can trigger the hideaway fairly easily as we'll have big creatures or many small creatures.
• Oran-Rief, the Vastwood - This allows us to put counters on creatures we spawned in this turn. Simply an enabler for Experiment Kraj
• Temple of Mystery - or with a Scry 1.
• Yavimaya Coast - or for 1 damage. I find I only really pop the damage around 2 to 3 times per game.
