Hermit Druid/ Consult Tasigur

Post Flash ban

Basic Hermit Druid Line:

1) Activate Hermit Druid causing entire deck to go to graveyard.

2) Narcomoeba etb from graveyard.

3) Pay and delve for Tasigur, the Golden Fang (or use another creature if on the battlefield).

4) Sac three creatures to flashback Dread Return targeting Thassa's Oracle to win upon her ETB.

Isochron/Reversal:

1) Play Isochron Scepter imprinting Dramatic Reversal.

2) Ensure you have rocks/dorks in play that can tap for at least 3 mana and that one of those can generate either or . You need at least open to begin the process.

3) Activate Isochron Scepter generating unbounded mana. Play Tasigur and activate his ability repeatedly bringing all nonland cards into your hand from your graveyard. This allows unlimited casts of spells by repeatedly using his ability.

4) Play either Thassa's Oracle or Jace, Wielder of Mysteries to win. If those are unavailable, unlimited 2/2 flying birds can be made by repeatedly casting a spell and countering it with Swan Song. If this is done, ensure you don’t deck yourself by using Necropotence or Noxious Revival. Also destroy all opponents’ permanents with Assassin's Trophy before passing.

Basic Consultation lines:

1) Demonic Consultation+Thassa's Oracle

2) Tainted Pact+Thassa's Oracle

3) Demonic Consultation+Jace, Wielder of Mysteries

4) Tainted Pact+Jace, Wielder of Mysteries

Why Tasigur?

Tasigur, the Golden Fang has been one of my favorite commanders since he was released. I’ve played him in many different builds. Most people play a similar deck to this (breakfast hulk) using Thrasios and Tymna and it is the top of the meta without question.

I personally love BUG and wanted to make the best possible Sultai deck that I could. Tasigur is ideal because he can usually be cast for , is a good attacker/blocker, most importantly he sustains in grindy games.

This deck is built to combo off quickly. However, many games reach that mid/late game point where it slows down and resource advantage becomes crucial. Tasigur excels at switching modes into a political control shell. Using his activated ability we can use opponents against each other by having those behind in the game give us resources from the graveyard to slow those ahead.

Over all it is a fun, dynamic and adaptable deck that I hope you enjoy.
