Description

So this is a basic tempo deck with light removal, hand attack, and a decent amount of evasion. I'm gonna be testing it a good bit and slowly making changes.

So you want to be competitive B/U mid-range and you don't want to run The Scarab God in the main board? It's going to win you 80% of games that it hits the board and 99% of games against non-white decks.

The problem is that it becomes an immediate target 100% of the games it hits the board and there exile effects in black along with white. He still may go mainboard but right now im testing skysovereign for evasion and removal ability.

I understand your reservations about scarab god main, but it's not like your opponent is going to side out their vraska's contempt's or cast out's or what have you. You're in UB and they're going to assume it's something they have to be worried about. On top of that, I feel like three Skysovereigns is just overboard. I could see it as a one-of because it's occasionally really strong, but meh. Not to mention there's even more artifact hate running around than there is exile.

Similarly, three march of the drowned seems cute, but not great. Hostage Taker and Dreamcaller Siren are the only things you're really going to get much from bringing back later on in the game, and if they're removing a lot of your things, dreamcaller probably isn't going to have enough pirates out to do much anyhow.

Have you considered Chart the Course or Jace, Cunning Castaway? They both seem like really solid tempo cards, and Chart may well be better than opt main board.
