The main goal of the deck is to just get the combo in play. The combo is Jeskai Ascendancy + any creature + Retraction helix + a 0 mana artifact. How the combo works is you need the ascendancy in play along with a creature and the 0 mana artifact with the retraction helix in hand. Cast the retraction helix on the creature of choice then tap it to bounce the 0 mana artifact to your hand then replay it and due to the Ascendancy creatures you control get +1/+1 and you get to untap those creatures. Then due to the Ascendancy's other ability you may draw a card if you do discard then do just bounce and replay the 0 mana artifact to pump your creatures and find and cast the only copy of fling.
