The Deck
This is my Urza innovation deck that I have been brewing and playtesting ever since Urza, Lord High Artificer was spoiled, drawing inspiration from the Goryo’s Breach deck. What's exciting is that there are finally another way to abuse tron lands! Urza's Temporal Aperture ability seems to be made to be abused with tron lands where he is able to potentially cheat out high cmc spells for just . The more tron lands and mana rocks in play, the more times I can active Urza to gain insurmountable advantages over my opponents. With the inclusion of Through the Breach , Urza, mana rocks, and the potential upside to assemble 7 cmc worth of tron lands, there are no problems cheating out Emrakul, the Aeons Torn .
Piloting
This deck is pretty straightforward to pilot in which there are two main axis to operate on in tron-ramping or cheating into a game winning finisher. The pre-sideboard deck has minimal interaction to maximize my explosive starts. Through the Breach can be played as early as turn 3 with a couple of mana rocks in my opening hand and has a nice synergy with Wurmcoil Engine to leave two token bodies. A breached Emrakul, the Aeons Torn can serve as a nice recursion engine to shuffle my graveyard back into my library at instant speed. Kozilek's Return serves as an effective population control for decks that go wide too quickly before I can assemble a win. This deck can fight through bloodmoon and land hate effects pretty effectively considering the number of mana rocks I run.
The Sideboard
The sideboard is a transformation from all-in combo into Karn, the Great Creator wishboard. This effectively increases my chance against unfavorable matchups. This is still a work in progress and feedback/recommendations are welcome!
