Sideboard

Maybeboard

I am still pretty new to Magic compared to most people I encounter regarding this game. However, out of my sparce and slow growing collection I put together this deck which centers around control with damage mitigation and 2 win cons. Only played during FNM and finished 4-3-1 overall and considering it was its first run and the cheapest deck there by far it felt pretty good beating decks in the $500-$1000 range. (Two Snapcaster Mages cost more than this deck and sideboard combined) Does very well if you can get a Isochron Scepter on the field with a Dawn Charm or Silence attached to it (although I don't usually attach a Silence because it's no fun watching someone just sit).

Approach of the Second Sun works well with any draw but especially good with Sphinx's Revelation later in the game I usually get it back in hand the turn after I cast it.

Psychosis Crawler also does well with any draw and very good with Sphinx's Revelation as it damages the opponent per draw.

3 of the 4 wins were with Psychosis Crawler and the other was with Approach of the Second Sun. For the draw I was one turn behind. Had I had another turn 2nd Sun would have netted me another victory as I had it in hand.

Open for suggestions on improvements as I know it's not at it's best right now It's still a work in progress.

Updates Add

Made a few changes to make the card draw also mill my opponent with Sphinx's Tutelage. Also changed to Opt instead of Serum Visions so I can attach to Isochron Scepter.

Also a few changes to the Sideboard with Hoofprints of the Stag to generate tokens and lifelink them with Azorius Charm if needed. Added Karma for those running black and Solemnity to deal with infect or any other counter based deck. As a side note it's pretty funny putting down a Karma with the original art from Richard Thomas and your opponent thinking the card is so vintage that it can't be legal, but it is.

So far with the changes it has performed well considering it's still missing some obvious upgrades like Teferi, Hero of Dominaria and Jace, the Mind Sculptor to name a few. I am still considering removing the Azorius Charm in favor of another fog or counter.

Thank you so much for the suggestions so far, please keep them coming. I would like to keep this as budget but please any suggestions are welcome.
