This deck is birthed from what used to be my Jhoira (DOM) Artifact deck. That deck played quickly, not cheerios, but full of mana rocks to draw off of Jhoira's ability and draw into the big threats like Blightsteel, Platinum Angel, and Forge. The point of that deck was to build a gigantic battle-cruiser style board and march your way to victory slowly but surely.

This deck takes a different approach. Because we have sacrificed our ability to draw cards from the command zone, the deck includes much more card draw and is more careful about the inclusions; drawing a poor artifact will lead to a poor position instead of being able to cycle and replace itself. The deck still runs a ridiculous amount of mana rocks (17?) and tries to push out big hulking threats at the end of the day. The main difference with the deck, despite the large color shift, is the end goal of the deck. We aren't trying to indestructible battle-cruiser march our way to victory, but to put out the right volume of artifacts so that Sydri can keep us alive however long the game goes on.

The pod my Jhoira deck played in was board presence heavy, resulting in quick losses for that deck because it wasn't able to protect itself with one of our platinum creatures in time. This deck is expected to perform much better in the pod due to the natural lifegain, and provides real win-cons with aetherflux reservoir. This deck will also arguably perform better in more competitive pods given a significant increase in removal and interaction.

Best parts of this deck:

-Maintain a high life total throughout the game

-High mana rock count to cast whatever we draw

-Increased interaction and removal

-More viable win conditions

-Artifact battle-cruiser decks are the best :)

Lands:

I wanted to shortly talk about lands because I feel it is something that holds many players back from building the decks they want. Basic lands are perfectly fine, you don't have to spend an outrageous amount on lands just to feel like you can play the game. Spend that money elsewhere on cool creatures or instants that add more flavor to your deck.

One of the other reasons I took apart Izzet Artifacts and built Esper Artifacts was because of the land base. Rummaging around my spare cards I realized I had a strong Esper base, only missing one Fetch and a Filter. While the land base in this deck is a little more pricey, don't feel like you need to buy everything here. Running all basic lands is totally viable (and undervalued), especially in an artifact deck where most things are colorless. The first things I would add to a basic only mana base would be some utility lands like Buried Ruin and Inventor's Fair. Then add your dual colors, then add Fetch lands and Filter lands last.

Notable Cards in this Deck:

-Mycosynth Lattice: This card is not necessary, but it is very strong in this deck for a certain reason. While it is often a dead card without a Forge or some affinity shenanigans, Mycosynth in a Sydri deck is terrifying. Simply use Sydri's ability to turn all your opponents (artifact) lands into (artifact) creatures to instantly kill them.

-Teferi, Hero of Dominaria: Teferi is also not a necessary piece, but he synergizes very well with our interaction pieces as well as our Shimmer Myr and Leyline of Anticipation. He also works well with Sydri's abilities, keeping mana open on our opponenet's turns to sneakily make a mana rock a deathtouch killer.

-Mirage Mirror: This card is ridiculous and I don't know why it isn't in every deck. Copy an opponents 10/10 infect creature and block it, copy a Thran Dynamo or Gilded Lotus for extra mana, copy anything for only 2 mana at instant speed and you can definitely shake the game up.

-Bolas's Citadel: Play from the top of your library. It's that simple. This deck has a lot of natural lifegain so don't be afraid to pay a lot into this to find something you really want. While there are a lot of other good six drop artifacts out there like Steel Hellkite and Soul of New Phyrexia, I chose the Citadel to burn through my deck when we are low on steam and help us pull a last second W.

-Aetherflux Reservoir: This card is our star of the show and we aren't even trying to storm off like this card usually sees us do. As soon as you achieve 50+ life, politic with the table and ask them kindly not to attack you or else you will mega death cannon them for 50. Works great with Sydri's second ability. Also, something most people don't know about this card is that you can stack your spells (instants or flash) to gain more life. Casting a Mind Stone and responding with an Anguished Unmaking nets you 4 life instead of the usual 3. If you stack three spells, you'll be gaining 3 life for each spell, totaling 9. Search for ways to abuse this weapon.

That is all I currently have, let me know if you have any thoughts or recommend any changes. I hope you enjoy this deck as much as I do. :)
