Sideboard

Esper control is said to be the new way to go in standard. With really strong removal, counters, and Teferi, it rules the board late game. I'll give a breakdown.

Teferi, Hero of Dominaria: The reason to play control, it's plus 1 is amazing, to be able to untap and hold mana for a counterspell or removal is amazing. I suggest not playing him immediately, since now we have things like Assassin's Trophy and ye ol' Vraska's Contempt. Hold him till you can untap for a hard counter, that's my 2 cents. His ultamate, while you may never get it, is top notch. If you get it out, whittle them doen on lands or threats or anything really, make your opponent hate you. And he's got a little bit of removal too.

Chromium, the Mutable: This guy is a beast, he's an amazing card for control. Most of the time you'll have cards to discard if you want him to not die. He's a huge threat and really hard to get off the board. He isn't a must have but I built this deck around him and teferi sooo...

Search for Azcanta  : This card will win games, when you get to the point you're finding what you need every turn, there's no stopping your fuel.

Counterspells: Need I say more? Just counter everything threatening!

Removal: For the creatures, make them hurt.
