Instant (3)

Planeswalker (3)

Enchantment (2)

Take to the skies! Confuse your opponents when you name Pegasus with Cavern or Mimic and irritate them with the text of Plated Pegasus. Nobody expects the Shining Shoal, Sacred Mesa is secretly OP, and this deck was totally put over the top with Militia Bugler (since Wizards doesn't print enough Pegasi, curses).

Play notes:

  • You can play Sacred Mesa on 3 and sac a token on your next turn's upkeep to keep it going.
  • 2 Plated Pegasi become immune to bolts. Similarly, 1 Mimic and 1 Plated Pegasus makes the pegasus immune to bolts. A single Plated Pegasus is a complete counter to Grapeshot. Plated Pegasus has flash. This deck may look dumb, and while it mostly is, Plated Pegasus is actually kind of a good card.
  • Shining Shoal makes damage from source X do damage to target Y. Shining Shoal is not the source, so Plated Pegasus does not reduce its damage.
  • Plated Pegasus has been erratad to "permanent or player", so it can still protect Gideons. Your opponents may not realize this.
