Primary Strategies:

1. Mill: The way you win the game is by milling your opponents deck to 0 cards by forcing them to remove them from their library. The primary ways to do this include: Archive Trap , Breaking , Glimpse the Unthinkable , Mind Funeral , Mesmeric Orb , and Hedron Crab . These cards will directly mill your opponent, though can be used in combination with other cards for better effect.

2. Combo Milling: To use the cards to their greatest effect, you really need to combo them together. For instance, if an opponent searches their library for any card you can use Archive Trap for free! However, you can opt for a player to search their library through the use of Path to Exile or Ghost Quarter . While the opponent does not have to search their library, losing a critical land or creature with no recovery can be detrimental to your opponents strategy. You can use Field of Ruin as a replacement for Ghost Quarter in order to force your opponents to search for a land, thus triggering the free casting of Archive Trap . Additionally, if you are able to cast Archive Trap for its free cost, for only 2 Mana you can cast Twincast to double its effect. This can mean milling your opponent for as much as 26 on turn 2!!! For a more guaranteed effect, using Hedron Crab in combination with any fetch land(such as: Flooded Strand or Polluted Delta ) doubles the landfall trigger. Always remember to cast your Hedron Crab BEFORE you play land for turn. Most people won't use a kill card on a 0/2 and it guarantees some mill almost every turn. Lastly, if you're desperate, you can combo Isochron Scepter with Twincast and copy your spells every turn.

3. Anti-Control and Perma-Silence Combos: Using the Isochron Scepter and Twincast combo, you can save 2 mana to use as a counterspell copy. For instance, if an opponent were to try and counter your Glimpse the Unthinkable , you can copy their counter spell with Isochron Scepter and Twincast , then counter their own counterspell. Ideally however, you would want to combine Isochron Scepter and Silence together as fast as possible. If you can get this combo on turn 2, it can easily win the game if your opponent isn't running instant speed artifact removal as the player will never again be able to take a turn without your consent or a counterspell card every turn.

5. The Cheese: If you really want to cheese your opponents with simple yet devastating strategies you have the following:

Instakill Combo 1: Fraying Sanity + Traumatize . Instakill Combo 2: Mindcrank + Duskmantle Guildmage + Vapor Snag
