Sideboard

Maybeboard

This deck is only slightly esper. The White is in there in case I or you want to add a few more white cards. Utter End is a good reason for this. The deck takes the first and second turn to get cards out of your opponents hand and to get the cards you need in your hand. From there just play control using permission spells and kill spells to open the way for one of the beaters that will keep you ahead once you get there. I'm still working on a sideboard, and the mainboard i subject to change as I tweak the deck. Suggestions for improvement are appreciated!

I've got it set up now as a deck full of no. The early game is hand disruption, counters, and anticipate. Mid-game involves kill spells, board wipes and dig through time. Late game is dragons and ulamog and protecting them.

Narset is really good in here, allowing us to grab ammo, rebound board wipes and kill spells, digs or anticipates. Ultimate shuts down the control matchup.

Sideboard has sphinx for shutting down control, and extra hand disruption and situational counters, Kill spells and bane. Bane is great as a finisher once you've wiped the board and you can move onto their lands and other permanents.

Board wipes in this deck do not kill the win con creatures which is a big plus when you hit the late game if things get crazy, we can just keep beating away. Breezdancer gets stronger if we play our spells before or during combat hitting our opponent just a bit harder.

Citadel siege as a one of is good since it can speed up the clock once our beater hits the board. It can be used defensively as well allowing us to take full advantage of controlling what our opponent can attack with.

All the mainboard creatures can survive the boardwipes. The sidboard creatures survive languish but not crux. Given that they were best left in the sideboard.

As far as testing, it wins 4/5 against most of the modern decks I've played against. The old format beat a 3/4 built jeskai deck and several eldrazi decks.

The modern decks weren't top tier but were very good decks.

Help on this deck is appreciated.
