* This deck have been through multiple changes since I made it, it was my first non-precon EDH deck, but I'm too lazy to update the description *

Intro

My personal version of the new Commander Vilis, Broker of Blood which I've built in a casual way instead of being a competitive deck. My version having a lot more creatures than most others, as I (and my playgroup) prefer winning with combat damages rather than indirect damages. ... In the same manner, there are a few cards that aren't necessarily good, but I found could add an interesting dynamic change to the game such as Pain's Reward and Triskaidekaphobia.

Deckname's Source

The name of the deck was inspired by one of my childhood's (french) MMORPGs called Dofus. The Sacrier being the tank class that loves taking damage and increase its power with its own blood.

Deck's Goal

Obviously this deck's main idea is to use multiple lifegain effects to survive early and Ramp mana as fast as possible with cards like Cabal Coffers, Bubbling Muck, Liliana of the dark realm and Crypt Ghast to get my Commander as quick as possible. At this point I use multiple cards that requires me paying life, which is beneficial when Vilis is on the field.

Notable Cards, Combos or Synergy:

Font of Agonies is a really good card that turns my own blood into profit, letting me easilly destroy my opponents' creatures.

Even if Tavern Swindler is kind of a bad card in normal circumstances, it really shines in this deck were it's no longer a 50% chance of her giving any benefit (and most of the time only giving you back what you paid to her). Alhammarret's Archive is one of those examples.

Wall of Blood is already a good card by itself, but I really like giving it Lifelink in some way as the life paid to boost it will "automatically" comes back to me as lifegain. And it's even better when Vilis and/or Alhammarret's Archive is/are in play.

Aetherflux Reservoir + Bolas's Citadel + Sensei's Divining Top is a really evil semi-infinite loop, but I try never using the Reservoir's 2nd ability as it's not really fun winning with it and I tempt to not abuse in lifegain from this combo either.
