Why Ayula is sweet and how is deck works in general: This is a voltron and tribal using Ayula, Queen Among Bears. Well most bears are actually terrible, Ayula is a fantastic card. As such the deck is looking to pay Ayula and then repeatedly playing more and more bears.

To do this, the deck is using all sorts of cards that let you draw whenever you have a creature enter the battlefield or when a creature spell is cast. This allows us to creature a large board presence and well also having really some really big creatures.

General Strategy: This deck requires you to be able to build a large board with hopefully multiple draw pieces. It's often worth waiting to play bears until to develop a draw engine. I personally place most of the +1/+1 counters onto Ayula, as commander damage is huge in this deck. Typically once Ayula is around a 12/12, making two swings with her lethal, I'll start to place counters on other bears.

Well have a big bear is important for winning the game, Ayula's main strength is in her ability to have her or other bears fight an opponent's creature. She gives you a shocking amount of board control for a mono-green deck. Because of this ability, the second best card, after the Queen herself, is Vigor. Vigor makes any damage dealt to our creatures into +1/+1 counters instead. So when our bears fight with Vigor on the field, they get a lot bigger.

Well I love this deck, it does a lot of problems. Mostly, you need a good balance of ways to draw cards, interact with your opponents, lands, and of course, bears. There is going to be games where you get too many bears and not enough draw pieces, and then run out of gas. There's going to be games where see all your draw pieces and interaction, but no bears. When this happens, try to stay in the game by having Ayula push as much pressure as possible, using her hopefully high stats and fight triggers to slow the person in the lead down until you get back in the game.
