Since the Etched Champions are the only creatures in the deck that are more than 2 mana, I threw in 2 AEther Vial in order to reduce the need to spend mana to cast creatures so that it can be utilized to equip your swords and Cranial Platings. They also help buff creatures equipped with Cranial Plating. I threw in 2 of each sword due to their ability to give equipped creatures pro-colors, as well as their varying and helpful effects. Less than 2 would make them too rare, and more than 2 would take up too much space, in my opinion. Auriok Steelshaper makes equipping easier, and rewards all of your creatures when he is given an equipment. Etched Champion becomes a hard-hitter when you have three artifacts on the field, as nearly half of the deck is artifacts, including 8 of your 24 lands, and all of your other artifacts are very powerful equipments. Puresteel Paladin erases equipment costs, which is extremely important in this deck. Spellskite offers easy removal negation to keep your Paladins and Stoneforge Mystics, which synergize with the equipment-based strategy extremely well, alive and well. As for the sideboard, 1 Brass Squire to keep your equipping easy, 2 Buried Ruin to revive any destroyed swords or Platings, 4 Grand Abolisher to keep your opponent's removal strategies at bay, 2 Leonin Shikari to keep your swords bouncing around with ease, 4 Steelshaper's Gift to make sure that you always have the equipment that you need, and 2 Stone Haven Outfitter to give your creatures some added buffs and useful effects. If anyone happens to come upon my build and has some criticisms or advice, feel free to comment below.

Yeah, he probably could. I don't know if I'll put him in the mainboard, but it's definitely something I would be willing to try out, see how it does.
