Based on the precon "Faceless Menace." I've been trying on-and-off to make a successful morph based Commander list for years. But since all we had was Ixidor, Reality Sculptor, it never quite worked. Yes, we had "Animoprhs" but morph tribal kinda just stumbled into that commander, it wasn't really "on theme." Kadena, Slinking Sorcerer is awesome and I'm glad we have more tools to work with specifically for morphs. This deck is very rough-draft level right now and I think there is still a lot of room for improvement.

A lot of articles I've read suggest taking out many of the cards that I left in. However, I feel like I'm trying a different strategy with my list. I use tutors and draw to get out Survival of the Fittest, then get Wonder/Brawn/Genesis in the graveyard, then drop a few morphs, then tutor up a buff spell to attack the opponent with a bunch of flying/trampling morphs. It is a bit more of a combo finish than the straight aggro that other articles are suggesting.

A couple of cool interactions: Of course the Survival of the Fittest engine. Without Red we don't get Squee, Goblin Nabob, which does suck...but survival of the fittest is just too powerful not to include it. Once you get Genesis in the yard you can recur a creature every turn to keep survival going. Having Wonder and Brawn available makes our guys really evasive, which ends up giving us the edge we need. The deck doesn't have a bunch of obvious finishers, but if you can swing in the air or trample over people, then the small packets of damage adds up.

Ixidor, Reality Sculptor should definitely still be in the deck, even if he isn't the commander. He makes all those expensive morph costs very affordable, and when you aren't flipping a bunch of cards, he buffs your dudes. I usually tutor for him very early on.

Crystal Shard is great with morphs. It can act as a bounce in a pinch (especially if your opponent taps out), but it is really used to bounce your utility creatures like Ainok Survivalist and Den Protector and re-use them.

Bow of Nylea is also great with morphs. Sometimes you gotta alpha strike into your opponent, even if you just have a bunch of 2/2s. But with Bow of Nylea (and even better with Brawn), your guys can make combat math hard for your opponent. Its other abilities are very good in the deck as well. The deck is a bit removal light, so being able to poke flyers can help. The deck doesn't have other sources of life gain (to counteract ancient tomb and fetchland activations), so being able to gain three life at a time can help. And since we have the survival engine, putting dead morphs back in the library just means they'll be fished out again with survival. Just a great card for the deck.

Future Sight and Yawgmoth's Will. So, I had to put future sight in, it's got Ixidor in the picture! Both cards let you play the alternate cost (morph) for your creatures and can create huge swings in card advantage. There's a reason yawgmoth's will is also called yawgwin.

Again, I'm still tweaking it and working through some stuff, but I am super excited about finally getting an intentional morph tribal commander.
