Sideboard

Instant (3)

Planeswalker (1)

I'm relatively new to Magic, I'd say I've been playing for only about two years now. When I started to get super interested in it I of course wanted to start building my own deck. I've been playing with my home brew deck that I've cobbled together and changed numerous times over the months and even now I'm leaving it incomplete in this editor to help get some insight on how I should continue building it, what I need to improve etc. The general goal of the deck was to simply spam Spirits onto the field and chip down life as I could. I found through playing it about a dozen times that my Negates, Psychic Barriers and Immolating Glares help keep players at bay while I get some field coverage as does Wall of Denial (big help actually). My Geist-Honored Monk is usually my heavy hitter, bringing him in after I've gotten 4+ tokens on the field has helped me more than once. Everything else is really just to either support me or my tokens, keep the opponent at bay, or simply give me time. The Reliquary Tower+Curiosity combo was thrown in there as a way to maximize my chances of spamming and also having the lands available for bigger plays such as Geist-Honored Monk, Mausoleum Guard etc. I have zero experience building decks, this is my first one and the state it is in is how I've shaped it after a dozen + games with only one deck type. I know it's probably not fantastic, but then again I'm not looking at it to be tournament ready, I don't really run those circuits, I just want a good deck that can hold up against my friends and/or any other person I may meet that wants to play a quick pick up game. Sideboard are cards I've tossed out of the deck awhile ago, but ones that were harder to toss out then others so who knows, maybe they're still useful somehow.

Edit: Switched out Curiosity for Promise of Bunrei to help with spam and because I found Curiosity was really just taking up space in my hand and I wasn’t using it often enough.
