Welcome to the adventures of Single Kick Guy, aka Shu Yun, the Silent Tempest!

This deck is a fairly standard Jeskai Prowess deck. Don't keep any hand without at least 3 mana, with at least 1 of it being blue. Preferably no bouncelands and less than two multicolored lands, to keep you on track to play Shu Yun on turn 3.

This deck was borne from a challenge I gave one of my friends. I bet him I could build a deck for less than $50 that could beat his $400 Abzan reanimator deck. Starting combat on turn 4 with an unblockable 12/10 commander with doublestrike tends to make people rather sour.

Basically the strategy is to play a few small things with Prowess on turns 1 and 2, like Monastery Swiftspear and Stormchaser Mage, or Hero's Blade turn 2, which gets attached to Shu Yun as soon as he enters. Then turn 4 just empty your hand of any cheap instant/sorcery spells, holding onto two white/red mana to give him double strike, then swing for the win! Hopefully this will outpace most of your opponent's blockers that could stop him.

Star spells in this deck are Built to Last and Built to Smash, for sheer efficiency with mana, Artful Dodge because it's quite literally a game-winning card, and Emerge Unscathed for the free Prowess proc during your next turn. (Built to Last will probably be replaced by Adamant Will once Dominaria comes out)

All of the cards in this deck except Lightning Bolt and Taigam, Ojutai Master are under a dollar.
