Derevi uses a heavily creature based stax strategy that focuses on locking down your opponent's lands and taxing their spells. There are a fair number of creature and artifact tutors in the deck so you can tutor for the perfect stax piece for each situation. Besides a fast mana package this deck doesn't play much traditional ramp but instead uses a ton of cheap manadorks. These guys are great because they will still untap under winter orb and similar affects and help the deck break symmetry. This deck wins by either establishing a hard lock using cards like static orb and stasis or by using hermit druid to setup nexus of fate so you can take infinite turns.
