Maybeboard


I figured it would be cool to share my pride and joy: Intet, the Dreamer ! I had originally built this deck back in 2013, and it was an incredibly solid list. Many things have changed since then, and I have upgraded the deck over time to fit the meta (for my playgroup). I listed it as competitive however I created this deck to be a good middle-ground between casual and competitive. Even though these colors can easily fit many degenerate combos, I didn't want to build the deck too aggressive so I stuck to more of a fun theme (sorry no Palinchron shenanigans). That being said, there is one game-ending infinite combo I threw in:

Infinite Turns
Show

  1. This deck has a LOT of interaction. It is a control deck after all.
  2. Deck manipulation. Deck manipulation is a must in an Intet deck. Not only does it allow you to set up for Intet's trigger, it also gives you some impressive card advantage.
  3. This deck can easily keep degenerate decks in check, while also allowing you to set up your own win.
  1. Since your main wincon is commander damage via Intet, attacking into a flurry of flyers (or even one) can seriously halt your progress. TLDR; Flyers are a huge weakness for this deck.
  2. If you can't keep an edge against another control deck, you can easily be shut out of the game.
  3. Aggro decks. Yeah, these are hard to deal with.

When I say setting up, I mean layering your deck with the following so that you can get the good cards off Intet's triggered ability.

Just a couple of things I'm asked often:
  1. Yes, you CAN kick Rite of Replication when you cast it off Intet, however the kicker cost is NOT free.
  2. No, you can NOT cast cards off Intet if she leaves play then re-enters later. Bummer.
  3. Since you **CAST** the card from exile, you can counter the spells cast for free off Intet. They use the stack. Not sure why that one confuses people but it's the most commonly asked question... **shrug**
I suppose that's all I can think of at the moment. I'll be sure to update my changes at the bottom as I add and remove cards. Always open to critiques! Let me know what you think!
