I was utterly defeated by a burn deck during my latest modern tournament, SO I'M MAKING ONE OF MY OWN USING $5 Aggro Aggro AS A BASE.

Now that my humiliation has been vented off, here's some more info on the deck:

• My actual CMC is of around 0.81 (49 / 60) so I went with 18 lands
• 4 copies of Apostle's Blessing as protection
• 3 copies of Crash Through to draw 1. Might put in some Wild Guesses or The Flame of Keld
• Thud is a good way to finish an opponent after a creature dealt half of their life total in damage.
• Monastery Swiftspears are the main cards of the deck in my opinion. Since they have haste and cost 1, they could provide more damage than a Kiln Fiend .
• Mutagenic Growth , Built to Smash , Temur Battle Rage , Titan's Strength , Assault Strobe and Rush of Adrenaline are the buff spells

Maybe-board considerations:

• Spinerock Knolls to cast a surprise useful spell.
• Bedlam Revelers can be great if we draw needed cards. It is a consideration if we get countered early on.
• Dreadhorde Arcanists could be used to cast an additional buff spell.
• Expedite , eh, again.. The draw is nice; I'd have to test it to see how much damage could be dealt with an additional attack.
• Samut's Sprint is a stronger Expedite minus the draw 1.
• Soul-Scar Mages are potentially more useful as a more cautious option replacing Kiln Fiend .
• Zada, Hedron Grinder has a CMC of 4 but can create great value by buffing multiple creatures.
• Wild Guesses . Discard one, draw two.
• The Flame of Keld can provide good cards and damage. Kinda situational.
• Simian Spirit Guides provide an additional
• Break Through the Line works with all of our creatures and can cause some serious damage for symbol:red. Costs 2 to setup though.
• Ground Rift is good for letting damage go through from multiple sources.
• Renegade Tactics is another unblockable buff with a draw 1.
• Reckless Charge . I am considering it
