A persistent deck that aims to win by whittling down the opponent through self-sacrifice. I'm still working out exactly which lands to use to keep it as consistent as possible. I also feel like it's missing something from its early game, so any suggestions are very welcome.
Tymaret, the Murder King and Butcher of the Horde are your sacrifice engines, with Bloodsoaked Champion and Tymaret himself being the main targets to sacrifice. Grim Haruspex fits well into the theme, granting some nice card draw while you do your thing.
Abzan Ascendancy works quite well for ensuring you have a way to bring both Bloodsoaked Champion and Tymaret, the Murder King back to the field, in addition to providing some minor additional damage. The counters are a bonus but are usually not too important. Mardu Ascendancy has similar uses, but which ascendancy that is best depends a little on the situation. In general, Mardu will be better whenever you don't have a sac engine on the field, since it provides you with tokens even if your opponent decides not to block your Bloodsoaked Champions. It's also a very nice thing to have on the field to prevent your key pieces from getting exiled by Anger of the Gods. Abzan, on the other hand, becomes amazing once you have some of your key pieces on the board, allowing multiple evasive tokens per turn that can also be sacrificed for various benefits (although keep in mind that this won't draw cards through Grim Haruspex or synergize with Athreos, God of Passage).
Once your gods, Purphoros, God of the Forge and Athreos, God of Passage go down, you'll quickly start to rack up heavy damage as you keep sacrificing and bringing back your creatures.
