Let's face it: hydras are terrifying and not typically viable in standard. The goal of this deck is to ramp into hydras who get haste from Xenagos, God of Revels or Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch or double counters from Corpsejack Menace.

When something like Genesis Hydra is played, the card it tutors in goes on the stack and into play first. That means you can grab a corpsejack menace and have hydras come in with double counters pretty quickly. This deck is designed to not miss a land drop then get big creatures out quickly and unexpectedly.

Think about it:

T1: Forest, elvish mystic

T2: Blood crypt, sylvan caryatid

T3: Llanowar Wastes, Xenagod

T4: Forest, Genesis Hydra for four, tutor in corpsejack menace, swing for 16 by doubling it using xenagod's ability (ON TURN 4!)

P.S. If you played a Courser of Kruphix turn two instead of a sylvan caryatid, xenagod would be active by turn 5 and able to attack. NUTS! I love finding ways to make green stompy competitive. As always, feedback and +1's are greatly appreciated!
