A budget based modern deck I put together based on the "Investigate" mechanic. The goal of this deck is to obtain as many clues as possible from such cards such as Erdwal Illuminator + Tireless Tracker . The main goal of this deck is to give a creature trample using Rancor and pump it with Confront the Unknown. Use cards like Opt and Condescend to help scry for this combo. Use cards such as Beast Within and Crushing Vines to disrupt your opponent's boards. Nissa, Steward of Elements is great for finding the Confront the Unknown + Rancor + Tireless Tracker combo by scrying cards and allowing you to cast creatures for free. Nissa, Voice of Zendikar is a great way to make chump blockers, or to pump any one of your creatures.

Inspiring Statuary adds value by allowing you to cast all your non-artifact spells by tapping your clue tokens. Clues do not have to be tapped in order to be sacrificed. Tap them for colorless mana on your turn and sack them for value on your opponent's turns!

In terms of the sideboard, cards such as Graf Mole let you gain life every time you sack a clue to boost Tireless Tracker. Fleeting Memories is a great way to mill opponents. Often times, you will have so many clue tokens that this can serve as a win condition. Place a copy of Mechanized Production onto a clue token for an alternative win condition as well. Add in Avoid Fate against opponents with lots of removal spells.

This deck is not only fun to play with but also very versatile because of the constant card draw.
