Hello! The main idea is to use the Cycling card to reach Gate to the Afterlife while we control the early turns with Censor and Vile Manifestation as Defense or as a Threat (it will probably grow up with the cycling cards). There is also Ruthless Sniper to counter x/1 creatures and trade in the early game.Usually between turns 4 and 6 you will be able to fetch God-Pharaoh's Gift with the Gate. Then you start to reanimate creatures such as Archfiend of Ifnir and with each card you cycle the creatures your opponent control gets a -1-1 counter, Vile Manifestation is a 4/4 PLUS each cycling card in you graveyard (usually 10/4). Well, almost every card has ETB, Cycling or Graveyard interaction.The only weak point compared to other Gift Reanimator decks are the targets. None of these creatures can be compared with Angel of Invention for instance.
A short idea of some unusual sideboard cards:
Gifted Aetherborn is really good against midrange and aggro decks. You don't mind trading them in the early game to gain some time. they also can be reanimated to stabilize your life total.
Yahenni's Expertise is good against any creature based deck, and feels really good to wipe a entire board t4 and cast a free 3 or less drop (Gate, Vile Manifestation, Champion of Wits)
Drake Haven is amazing against control match-ups. you can create 2/2 flyers from nowhere, and the opponent's removal is just not enough.
Scarab Feast
is great against other Reanimator decks or Control decks with Torrential Gearhulk.
** Drowned Catacomb will be reedited in Ixalan so they'll be legal in Standard
