Sideboard

Temur Midrange

The primary objective of this list is to generate card advantage and then win the game by reducing the opponent's life total to zero. Strategically, cards like Lightning Bolt, Spell Snare , and Tarmogoyf are in the main-deck to stall your opponents aggression in game 1, and to also present some amount of your own aggression. Buying time (or sometimes applying pressure) is an important element for this deck, because some resources will be spent on Ancestral Vision, Traverse the Ulvenwald and Raging Ravine which are in the deck to compete with competitive modern's high power level. Cards such as Thought Scour and Snapcaster Mage are part of the list to provide some 'lubrication' for the deck, as these cards allow it's pilot to see a lot of the powerful cards frequently, and fast enough to set up for large impact plays on the important turns 4 and 5. Once our Ancestral Vision or Traverse the Ulvenwald resolves, we can slam a Huntmaster of the Fells   or a well placed Cryptic Command to stabilize the board, and get out from under the fast meta.
