emask I like those suggestions. Alas AEther vials are quite expensive. ill have to work on getting some. the lands will make a good 2-3 of since I don't have a ton of t1 plays.

Killer deck man! I would think about 1 more Merrow Commerce , perhaps swap out a couple of your no tap for +4 Enclave Cryptologist . I could be totally off but that will help with synergy, mana curve, and draw power. Either way, good menfolk decks are not always easy to find. +1 for me of course!

LordOfMishap Hey there lord. Thanks for the comment man. I'm not sure i have and space left for Enclave Cryptologist . The only thing i might be able to see is taking out my Cursecatcher or maybe even just 1 lullmage, 1 silvergil and and 1 commander. I'll have to play around with it. But i went and took one thaumagist out for the other Merrow Commerce. I'll have to play around with some other changes and see if i can't fit the Cryptologist in, her level 3 ability would be really nice.

Thank you so much for the votes of confidence and the encouragement. The deck has really done me well and no one really enjoys playing me when i use it, which i guess is the whole point xD. This is on of my oldest decks and this has been it's final form for a while now. Looking to see if there is anything else i can do to really make it hated.

thuzra I've always just loved the art on the merfolk cards. I think the art is a way that a lot of the people fall in love with the game, as is true for myself. I've never been a big fan of green and red for that reason unfortunately. Other than dragons ofcourse :D <3

Since you're running a little of a level up theme, might I suggest some proliferate cards like Tezzeret's Gambit , and some hard counters might actually be good. Maybe a few Dissipate or Dissolve .

I would REALLY not like to run up against this deck, this is BRUTAL!

Thassa's Rebuff is better than Spell Syphon , since every blue permanent you have gives you at least one devotion to blue, if not more.

I would remove two Silvergill Douser and a Merfolk Thaumaturgist (or one Silvergill Douser and two Merfolk Thaumaturgist ; I don't value the Thaumaturgist too highly) for the fourth Lullmage Mentor -- they only get better with multiples -- and two Merrow Reejerey . The Douser/Thaumaturgist combo is cute and I do like it but I'm not sure how often it comes up. Whether or not you add Reejereys, I would put in the last Lullmage Mentor because they're so good and pivotal to this deck anyway, and it's much easier to get up to seven fish when you get two tokens for each counterspell! You want to maximise how much you draw them.

Thassa's Rebuff over Spell Syphon ? Looks good. I like the twist. Though the basic lords like Master of the Pearl Trident and Lord of Atlantis still seem good.
